The Tarzana Armenian Grocery & Deli or ‘TAG DELI' AKA ‘The Armenian Deli’ began it’s 50 year journey on a small side street in Tarzana Ca.in 1972.  At a time when ethnic food was still considered foreign and unknown, Mama ‘Rose’ Chelebian put forth several new and exciting sandwiches wrapped in Pita Bread.

The healthy-yet-delicious ingredients chosen by her immediately created this craze now known as “A Pita Wrap at The Armenian Deli”  This craze still thrives today and the concept has surpassed all ethnic barriers allowing TAG DELI to become one of the top delis in Los Angeles with those “Knockout Pita Wraps!” as circulated by L.A. Magazine in 2005.

This Ventura Blvd City Landmark still thrives, and you can enjoy a wide variety of healthy delicious Pita Wraps across the S.F.Valley,  as well as our authentic Greek Salad, Fresh Hummus, Taboule, Stuffed Grape Leaves, and several original eggplant salads and dips!  

We use the finest meats and cheese from upscale Boars Head Meats. Our vegetarian offerings include our veggie wraps, baclava, nuts, seeds, dried fruits and more than 100 other products in our small grocery store area.
